North Midtown CDC is realizing the creation of a business incubator that has transformed an abandoned warehouse into a productive business venture eliminating a hazardous eyesore in the community. This warehouse was once a 10,000 sq. Brownsfield site that represented blight and decay. The building is now living up to its new name, the "Phoenix Center" because it is rising up out of the ashes of despair to new life and hope. The Phoenix Center affords small businesses an opportunity to start with low overhead and support to grow fledging ideas into strong vibrant businesses that support the community. The center houses a business that performs HVAC, repair appliances and plasma televisions along with warehouse space for a business that distributes janitorial and medical supplies across the state.
